Hydrodynamical evolution of dissipative QGP fluid

چکیده
In the framework of the Mueller-Israel-Stewart theory of dissipative fluid dynamics, we have studied the space-time evolution of a QGP fluid. For simplicity, we have considered shear viscosity only and neglected bulk viscosity and heat conductivity. Shear viscosity opposes the expansion and cooling of the fluid. As a result, the lifetime of the fluid is extended. We also find that the parton pT distribution is considerably flattened.

Entropy Production in Relativistic Hydrodynamics
The entropy production occurring in relativistic hydrodynamical systems such as the quark-gluon plasma (QGP) formed in high-energy nuclear collisions is explored. We study mechanisms which change the composition of the fluid, i.e. particle production and/or chemical reactions, along with chemoand thermo-diffusion. These effects complement the conventional dissipative effects of shear viscosity,...

Space-time evolution and subsequent particle production from minimally viscous (η/s=0.08) QGP fluid is studied using the 2nd order Israel-Stewart’s theory of dissipative relativistic fluid. Compared to ideal fluid, energy density or temperature evolves slowly in viscous dynamics. Particle yield at high pT is increased. Elliptic flow on the other hand decreases in viscous dynamics. Minimally vis...

We study the effects of jet quenching on the hydrodynamical evolution of the quark-gluon plasma (QGP) fluid created in a heavy-ion collision. In jet quenching, a hard QCD parton, before fragmenting into a jet of hadrons, deposits a fraction of its energy in the medium, leading to suppressed production of high-pT hadrons. Assuming that the deposited energy quickly thermalizes, we simulate the su...
متن کاملThree dimensional relativistic hydrodynamical model for QGP gas
We numerically solve fully (3+1)-dimensional relativistic hydrodynamical equation coupled with the baryon number conservation law without spatial symmetry. We discuss the effect of transverse expansion based on the deviation our numerical result from Bjorken’s scaling solution. We analyze the space-time evolution of the QGP gas in the case of non cylindrical initial conditions.
متن کاملDissipative or Just Nonextensive Hydrodynamics? -nonextensive/dissipative Correspondence
Recently there is renewed interest in dissipative hydrodynamical models [1, 2, 3, 4, 5] prompted by the success of perfect hydrodynamics in describing RHIC data [6] and by recent calculations of transport coefficients of strongly interacting quark-gluon system using the AdS/CFT correspondence [7]. The question is whether dissipative hydrodynamics (d-hydrodynamics) is really needed and how it sh...
